Steve directs our air pollution compliance programs, and the preparation of environmental site assessments and site remediation projects. He is also involved with environmental compliance audits, RCRA and nonhazardous wastes, chemical spill containment and contingency plans (SPCC), storm water pollution plans, underground storage tank (UST) compliance, Employee and Community Right-To-Know regulations, and waste minimization studies.
Steve is directly responsible for the preparation of the complex Title V Clean Air Act Permits and Federally Enforceable State Operating Permits (FESOP) for our clients. He has considerable experience with responding to violation notices and negotiating successful resolution of the outstanding issues. He is well known and respected among the Illinois and US EPA regulators. In addition, Mr. Anderson is assisting our clients in their efforts to comply with the air emission control, recordkeeping and testing requirements under the Clean Air Act.
Steve has conducted environmental compliance audits for a wide variety of industry, including metal finishing, industrial chemicals, printing, plastic extruding and molding, printed circuit boards and electronics manufacturers.
He has conducted dozens of environmental site assessments, including Phase 2 soil and groundwater investigations, and Phase 3 site remediation projects.
He has received the 40-hour certification for Hazardous Waste Site Activities, as well as the 8-hour supervisory certification.

Paul F. Mathews, Senior Environmental Specialist - Over 25 years with Admiral

Paul directs our extensive wastewater monitoring and compliance program. He has considerable experience assisting industrial dischargers to comply with their sampling and reporting requirements. When wastewater violations are found, our clients depend on Paul to determine the source of the problem and to present options for corrective action. His experience also includes reducing User Charge liability through waste minimization techniques, accurate flow volume reporting, and representative sample collection.
Paul is very familiar with NPDES permit requirements, Illinois EPA applications for construction/operation of pretreatment systems, and can assist wastewater treatment operators in obtaining Class K certifications Todd P Hedlund, Senior Environmental Engineer - Over 25 years with Admiral

Todd directs the annual air emission reporting for our industrial clients. He provides environmental consulting on air permitting (Title V Clean Air Act Permits, FESOPs, Lifetime Permits, Construction Permits, and ROSS Registrations). He understands and offers compliance assistance for the complicated NESHAP and NSPS air permitting rules.
Todd also has extensive experience in Form R Toxic Chemical reporting, Tier 2 Hazardous Chemical Inventory reporting, and NPDES Storm Water permits. This includes preparing many Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPP) and implementing required storm water monitoring programs. Jill A Meyer, P.E., Environmental Engineer - Registered Professional Engineer

Jill is responsible for the completion of all annual environmental reports such as the Annual Hazardous Waste Report, Tier II Hazardous Chemical Report, Cook County Liquid Waste Fee Report, Annual Air Emission Report, and Form R Toxic Chemical Inventory Report. She is also very experienced in the preparation of Hazardous Waste Contingency Plans, Oil Spill Prevention, Control and Countermeasure (SPCC) Plans, NPDES Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPPs), and Spill/Slug Plans for local wastewater control districts.
Jill is mainly responsible for providing hazardous waste training and Department of Transportation (DOT) training for the shipment of hazardous waste for our industrial clients.

Illinois has eliminated the requirement that a copy of every hazardous waste manfest be submitted to the IEPA. effective July 16, 2015
